THE RISE OF CHRISTIANITY IN THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC

ISSN: 2294-8902

Abstract

A new wave of conversion to evangelical Protestantism appears to have targeted fundamental elements of the state-sponsored religious norms of rectitude and morality in the most emblematic example of an Islamic theocracy. The socio-cultural implications of such an alternative source of transcendental truth would undoubtedly be devastating on a political order whose identifying feature has been the very same claims to ultimate religious truth.
